Teachers and Students of Department of Food and Beverage Management Made Dishes for Kindergarten Children, Passing on Warm Love in Cold Winter

         Department of Food and Beverage Management, Cheng Shiu University warmed the stomachs of children in nursery school with delicious food! 13 teachers and students of Department of Food and Beverage Management came to Pingtung Jingzhong Kindergarten to cook warm fried chicken leg, green sauce pasta, Tamagoyaki and shrimp rolls for the children. The children enjoyed the food happily, saying that “it’s so delicious! I want to cook such delicious food as your elder brother and elder sister when I grow up”. Seeing the contented faces of the kids, the teachers and students were also very happy.

         Among the 13 teachers and students from Department of Food and Beverage Management, Ming-Sung Cheng, the team leader, also took his two daughters to Pingtung Jingzhong Kindergarten to send their love to the children of Jingzhong Kindergarten. Students of Department of Food and Beverage Management made delicious food for the children in remote villages with their cooking skills.

         The meals prepared for children are pan fried chicken leg and green sauce pasta, Tamagoyaki, shrimp rolls, sweet and sour pork, stewed vegetables with mushrooms, thick corn soup and sweet osmanthus soup. The menu also gave special consideration to children's preferences, with the expectation that they will have a good time and be full.

         Ming-Sung Chen said that in the process of cooking in the kitchen, students of the Department of Food and Beverage Management all prepared food materials with great care. Seeing the children of Jingzhong Kindergarten enjoy the food they prepared, the students felt that all the hard preparation work they made was worthy.

         During the activity of sending warm love in winter, the children were also asked to make sweat soup dumplings by hand. They enjoying it so much and made sweat soup dumplings in many shapes. Department of Food and Beverage Management also prepare sweat soup dumplings with sesame stuffing for children to taste. All the children loved it.

         The group leader of Cheng Department of Food and Beverage Management, Ming-Sung and Chin-Chun Cheng stated that it is hoped that the children could feel different warmth from the warm food with love.

         Ming-Sung Chen also expressed gratitude to Wei-Hsiang Fang, executive chef of the Chinese banquet hall of Jubilee Hall Restaurant, the chef Bo-Luo Chen and the foreman Chan-Ming Yang for sponsoring ingredients, Te-Chih Yang, the chef of the Chinese restaurant of Howard Hotel, Yu- Hsien Li, the chef of celebrity workshop in Grand Hi-Lai Hotel Taichung , the vice chef Hsin-Hao Huang for sponsoring stationery, to Li-Zhen Bai of Li’s Numerology for sponsoring the ingredients, and also to Yi-Chun Chen, teacher of Department of Food and Beverage Managements for sponsoring dessert.
